Just before xmas, I got a #garminvirb for my bikes. We had a quick warm period above freezing so I got out to test out the new #scapinanouk and get some footage on the camera to play around with.
The footage is good and crisp, the Garmin video software is pretty intuitive but the sync between the GPS and the footage is sub par. The GPS auto pauses when below 5KM/hr but the video doesn't pause along with it. This causes gaps in the GPX file, so to keep in sync during the edit you have to cut out the stopped parts.
The Garmin Virb Elite has a direct connection with the ANT+ sensors so this problem doesn't exist but ideally Garmin should provide a software update that pauses the Virb when the GPS auto pauses.
