Gallery: Ossington Crit Race
This past weekend saw a return of crit racing on the streets of Toronto. The Ossington BIA played host to a very well organized and attended 4 corner crit race that featured both fixed and road categories. After a last minute return from San Francisco I made it in time to shoot the Elite Mens and Elite Womens road races.
The Elite Womens Race had Canadian National Team member and race winner Jamie (Visit Dallas DNA) lap the field along with second place rider Ashley Barson of Rise Racing. Katya Masun of Wheels of Bloor worked hard in the pack to claim 3rd place on the podium
The Mens Elite Road Race was full out from the first corner. The Garneu Quebecor team worked well together to put their man Michael Rice on the top step with the Real Deal Racing team never relenting to get Ed Veal onto the second step. Always in the mix was Silber Pro Cycling, a UCI Continental team from Montreal who claimed a well deserved 3rd place for Ryan Roth.
A gallery of selected images are posted on Canadian Cycling (<--- click that link). Head on over to see my favourite takes from the day.
